Well this went nowhere, but I'm determined to share some of my subs (with links to good starting points). :)

Make me giggle
-AirForceProud95 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsyvqkADmR4#no), the ultimate in flight simulator realism!
-BardicBroadcasts (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx8sl2uC46A#no), you haven't seen a board game reviewed ultil you've seen a Bardic Broadcast!
-TwoSetViolin (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shjIudejxO4#no), two dudes having way too much fun playing violin.
-Jeb Gardener (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aaIwTB1aRY#no), classical music, hydroponic gardens and a weird guy growing stuff in his office.

Bingeable builders
-Bad Obsession Motorsport (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hCPODjJO7s#no), one of the most thorough, ambitious and tea-fueled Mini restorations ever undertaken. Project Binky is a must watch!
-Clickspring (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8Y146v8HxE#no), there's just something soothing about watching this guy masterfully make stuff in his shop. The skeleton clock series is a great place to start!
-Hand Tool Rescue (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxEX0qvQ4p#no), watch weird old tools get restored to good working order. Also soothing.
-Matthias Wandel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gOvoYpOyXE#no), a clever guy in his basement makes tools, and makes things with the tools he makes.
-Primitive Technology (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P73REgj-3UE#no), a guy in the jungle makes huts and other things and it's surprisingly cool to watch.
-Tips from a Ship Wright (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C22Crc7XHoI#no), a little slow paced probably for most and not a lot of entertainment value, but he builds some neat boats and is really thorough.

Solid regular content
-Chris Fix (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gOeBE-ylQw#no), you will definitely think about trying to fix your car after watching this guys excellent how-to videos
-EVNautilus (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iT_EMKl2A3Y#no), just the weirdest stuff ever from the bottom of the ocean... the next best thing to being a marine biologist is listening to them ooh and aah over strange ocean life.
-Bon Appetite (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pAOuR8s03Q#no), just a good fun variety of cooking content. Well produced.
-Mustard (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUXEFj0t7Ek#no), fascinating short documentaries on the history of various prototype planes and trains
-Summoning Salt (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFCF4I09Avc#no), fun to watch recaps of the world fastest completion records for various games.

Sorry, but I do not subscribe to anything on YouTube. Just do not get the time. I struggle to keep up (well actually I do not keep up) with Netflix, Stan, Hulu, SBS On-Demand, and Kanopy. YouTube I go to to find a specific video, then may be look at something in the suggested list connected to the video, but usually, just leave after watching the thing I went there for.

Do you guys have cable or whatever? I find that's the hole it fills for me. When you're not up for a show or movie, but you're also not ready to go to sleep either. :))

Nope. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime. Plus I download a lot of stuff (mostly non-US cooking/baking shows)

Not really. Havenít had cable or home phone in 15 years. I donít like the idea just to turn on anything to fill a hole. Even in hotels I wonít turn on a tv most of the time

Nope, I pretty much do not watch TV, just stuff on the streaming services. The kids watch a little broadcast TV, that's it. Cable TV is not that big in Australia (compared to the USA).

I've gotten quite into poker of late and follow a handful of poker vloggers on YouTube.

The best one is easily Andrew Neeme. Just a Las Vegas grinder who plays mid stakes professionally. Daniel Negreanu also does a great daily vlog during the World Series of Poker (only worth following during those events because otherwise he's not very active).

What's the cable tv equivalent here in Aus? Is it Foxtel?

Yes I would say Foxtel is Australia's equivalent.

Not sure if this is really the thread, but enjoy this:

If you're a French speaker, this channel is great. If you're not, you can look for any video titled "X et cinťma" and they'll be this kind of pure editing exercise which requires no knowledge of French at all.

I enjoyed that. Wonder whether there is a list of the movies featured anywhere. I couldn't easily find it from the video. I recognized many of them, but certainly not all.

It's at the end of the video (starts at 7:44). Looking at the list, they're somewhat inconsistent in their use of original title v French titles (going with Las Vegas Parano and Very Bad Trip instead of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Hangover, but still using The Sting despite that film being better known in France as L'Arnaque).

#TeamShia is one of the best episodes of Hot Ones I've seen. He's got a fun intense energy.

I mainly follow cooking channels on Youtube. My two favourites are Adam Liaw (https://www.youtube.com/user/adamliaw/) and School Of Wok (https://www.youtube.com/user/theSchoolofWok). Both do Asian cooking. Adam is extremely well presented and explains things in a way that makes it very easy to follow. I get a lot of use out of his homemade teriyaki sauce.

Yes, the same.  I think she might have changed the name

I make this anytime I have a BBQ as I constantly get requested for it:

I have to go to the wet market around 530am though to be able to purchase pork jowl.  If I get there after 6am, it is usually gone. I donít usually do her sauce though, either eat it without or a different sauce which is half cup lime juice, half cup fish sauce and then sliced Chili padi, chopped garlic, and coriander/cilantro and a bit of sugar, all raw.

I have to say that there is something brilliant about Hot Ones, like people start breaking down as if they are being psychologically and physically tortured.    Just watched a couple but this one was my favorite,
