Title: Filmspotters Top 100 Movies - The Countdown! (2010 edition)
Post by: Wilson on September 15, 2010, 03:15:05 PM
So, it's that time of the year again!

This years list will be posted a little differently, due to time constraints.  We'll have 20 each night from tonight (Wednesday), through Sunday.  This year's list had 50 ballots submitted, nominating a total of 1421 movies and I want to extend a thank you to each and everyone of you who took the time to submit a ballot.  This list really is impossible without your participation, and I thank you for that.

Once again, the full spreadsheet will be made available after the number 1 is posted.

8 ½ is shot beautifully and is full of sexy women. Marcello Mastroianni playing the main character Guido Anselmi (modeled after Fellini himself) did an amazing job of making us care about the character and understand reason everyone wants to be in his orbit. Claudia Cardinale is an absolute vision in this film as she portrays hope, purity, light and eventually disappointment.

I think this is a movie everyone should see.

The group of actors are truly marvelous, and the camera work is very well done.  But the real star is the script.  Each character, although only one note apiece, is well honed, and the general idea of establishing justice through reason is excellently done.
