Suwa, Nobuhiro

I did one-word reviews for each segment of Paris, je t'aime, and for Suwa I wrote "moving".  I don't remember it now, but that sounds positive.

I need to rewatch his Paris, je t'aime segment again to be able to rank it but I remember liking it quite a bit.

1. 2/Duo
2. Un Couple Parfait

Forced to make a choice, I favor a director who aggressively reminds you of cinema's tools with excessive camera movement and editing over one that prefers to stand back and dispassionately observe the situation. The semi-improvised nature of his films doesn't help either, with long takes of actors often repeating themselves with minor variations.

Place des Victoires (Paris, je t'aime segment), 25˚
Extraordinary (81-100˚) | Very good (61-80˚) | Good (41-60˚) | Fair (21-40˚) | Poor (0-20˚)
