In terms of directors who I've seen enough work by to make that judgment, yes.
Gotcha.

Obviously I'm not a fan of whoever did Empire Records

You sure about that?  It's got over 2000 votes on IMDb.

If you rate movies on IMDb, this search should tell you your most obscure.

Hah, no love for Argento. I've never seen any of his stuff but I did just watch the trailer for Demons. Lol, One of those movies that's too damn dark to see anything by the looks of it. It must be pretty awful to be your least favourite. You've seen a lot. :)

I', thinking about doing this, but I've no idea what to pick for some of them. I'm not sure if there is a film that depicts my life.

But I've never actually done anything with physical wheat.

Not feeling the vibe.

Fixed. Tusuk Jelangkung, which has 60 votes.

I love the first 5 minutes of Suspiria and 1 shot in Opera. The rest is self-indulgent style without an ounce of coherence. Fans explain it as dream logic, but nobody's dreaming. It's just poor filmmaking. And that includes the early stiff like Bird With the Crystal Plumage. Like Michael Bay, he's absolutely an auteur, but in the worst kind of way.

Demons is slightly less off-putting to watch than 2 Girls, 1 Cup. And it's about as professional in the technical qualities. Screenplay would be a tie.
