Twentynine Palms I just watched this February. It's a film where if you know what you're in for, you're watching every mundane moment for a clue and if you don't know then you're probably wondering why you're watching at all. It's both tedious and constantly tense, which is perhaps one of the most difficult tones to pull off. It's hard to believe The Brown Bunny came out the same year because it would appear that one film certainly influenced the other.
