I guess. Although my 3 picks that I'd have other people vote on would not necessarily be the same as my top 6. If I'm properly understanding how this works.

Yes, my 3 picks were not necessarily my top 3 picks. I figured something like The Shining and, hopefully, Raging Bull would be saved by the larger group without me bringing them up.

No chess about my resurrection, assuming it hasn't been when things fall to me, I'm resurrecting my #1, Full Metal Jacket. Not sure how I'll use my later resurrection though.

The number of responses has already exceeded my expectations, given how short the window was. I think things are pretty much set -- but I'll give it until tonight to be sure. The next (and final) ballot, which will have a Monday night deadline, will have three parts: 1) a run-off vote for the top four films for the consensus resurrection; 2) Beavermoose's three candidates for resurrection; and 3) flieger's three candidates for resurrection.

Anyone (not named Bondo, flieger, or Beavermoose) want to guess which four films will be a part of the consensus run-off vote?

My 6 were:

1.) Ferris Bueller's Day Off
2.) Raging Bull
3.) The Purple Rose of Cairo
4.) Gremlins
5.) Near Death
6.) After Hours

Edit: Why do I do this to myself? I keep refreshing the page every 10 minutes when I know Pix isn't even going to post the results tonight.

Oh right. Procrastination.

Here's how the films finished for jbissell's resurrection:

The Verdict - 42
Midnight Run - 41
Repo Man - 31

The Verdict had a big lead in the early voting, but Midnight Run almost completed a very strong comeback.

For the consensus voting, here are the film the got at least 6 points:

Heathers - 14
Full Metal Jacket - 13
The Terminator - 13
Koyaanisqatsi - 12
Near Death - 11
The Purple Rose of Cairo - 11
Dirty Dancing - 10
Sex, Lies and Videotape - 10
Thief - 10
Empire of the Sun - 8
The Fox and the Hound - 8
Wargames - 8
Gremlins - 7
Midnight Run - 7
The Blues Brothers - 7
Friday the 13th - 6
The Naked Gun - 6
The Unbearable Lightness of Being - 6

However, the top four films got more than 30 points. They'll go to a runoff. Alphabetically, they are:

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
The Fly
Raging Bull
The Shining

Ballot available shortly.
