Moon is further evidence that CGI sucks and traditional effects are far superior.

Hot Fuzz

Even better second time around. Consistently funny. 8/10.

Shakespeare in Love

Wow, this is actually good. 8/10.

This is It

The best concert film for a concert that never happened.  I was entertained, but a lot of that was my MJ fandom.  If I didn't care about the man or the music, it probably would've died for me.  But as I liked the songs, which were the bulk of the film, it worked.

Duncan Jones probably doesn't think Moon is better than Blade Runner.

Moon looked sooo great, didn't it? You're making me want to see it again. When does the dvd come out anyway?

I really likes this movie and have no idea why it has a growing bad reputation.

Moon uses CG. This is further evidence that both CGI and practical effects are both perfectly legitimate methods of serving a film and chances are a lot of the time you can't even tell the difference.

From what I read it is all models and traditional effects. There may be minor CGI touch ups but the vast majority of the effects are not CGI which is why it looks so good.
