Hate movies like this.  And love them.  I don't think I'll be able to fairly rate it until tomorrow.

I know! I know!

Man I love this movie.  It's my #5 all time

I mean, maybe my htred of thrist came from expectations, because I was incredibly excited and was expecting a very different movie. So maybe I'll watch it again under cricumstances and see if the grade moves higher. But man, some things I'll never forgive. the characters, the pacing, it's all really badly done.
I also think I was expecting a different movie, or at least a more consistent one.  I actually got the film I was expecting, but it was blended in with about 5 other types of movies.

I'll be back later to debate this, potentially in the spoiler section?
Don't know what 'debate' there will be.  I'll probably agree with everything you say.  As well as anything 'Noke has to say.  Thirst is a Jackson Pollock painting.  Some will see the emotions that the artists brush strokes represent and others will just see a bunch of paint thrown at the canvas.

Except unlike a painting it has words which means it actually has value?

More people just need FLY Appreciation 101, we teach the meaninglessness of music without lyrics and paintings without words. We are all about graphic novels, though.

This is an interesting statement coming from you, since I find the more words you use in an opinion the more likely I am to understand and find little fault in your argument.  However, you mostly try to get by on as little words as possible, preferring big paint-roller sized brushstrokes to fine details.

There Will Be Blood.

3rd time around. It is a truly amazing film. So many little touches that just make me go wow, including early on where there are people in the scene that are only revealed after several seconds into a shot. The first time we see HW and Plainview as oil men the camera moves in such a perfect way, focusing on one then the other. And, sorry FLY, I don't think the end is a dream sequence. But I do think we have a new level above Asuperplus. This is my favorite film.

Milkshake.

V For Vendetta

Lots of fun, good stuff to think about.  I loved it turning the Guy Fawkes Day celebration on its head, and the connection to Count of Monte Cristo (although that was hammered a bit too hard).  Great acting, especially by Portman.  I really loved her as the tough heroine. Good, solid, action fun.  4/5

Ah, you're a good egg!

The 1812 stuff is so great :)

T2 is overrated. It's a very good movie with some insufferable flaws. The dream sequences are awful. It takes too long for the pace to pick up. It's way too long in general. And it completely screws with the time theory established by the first film. It's still an enjoyable film, and it's one of the better sequels out there, but I usually find myself enjoying the first one more.

I'm not used to you being this wrong. I may have to rethink my allegiance to the throne.

Melvil I want to take this moment to again talk about how much I love your avatar :)

And let us quickly move on before smirnoff hears of this.
Down with the king! :)
