Rosemary's Baby 78%
This movie is never on TV. So last night when I saw the credits I settled down to watch it for the first time.
I've avoided spoilers through the years assuming I'd eventually get to it, so I can't say I knew a lot about it. And midnight by yourself is a particularly vulnerable time of night, which should really enhance a frightening experience. But I wasn't scared. I mean the
rape scene is particularly instense. But I just couldn't get into it. I still can't put my finger on why, technically and asthetically its a very well made film, and obviously an excellent cast, but in the end I found myself more compelled to watch by what Mia Farrow was wearing (and she does have some great clothes) than wanting to know what would happen next.
Although this has peaked my interest into seeking out some John Cassavetes films for the first time.
