More women should make action films.

Last Days (2005) ****
http://billsmovieemporium.wordpress.com/2009/11/11/review-last-days-2005/

If you didn't like Paranoid Park or Elephant because "nothing happened" then I'm 100% positive Last Days is not the movie for you. I on the other hand view it as more excellent meditation on the human condition by Gus Van Sant. There isn't much I can say about this movie, it's very much about the experience of watching it and then ruminating over what you have just seen after it's over. Basically, it's more that I love from GVS.

I feel like this is not the first time you reviewed something right after I watched it?
You're just jealous! Nobody loves you because you're tiny and made of meat!

Probably not, I do stalk you, or I should say our beards are magnetically attracted to one another.

This is sort of what I figured. Good to know. Does yours itch today?

It did earlier, around say 6:30, I'm hoping yours did as well, nothing beats synchronized beard scratching.

I remember being half-asleep, so I'm gonna say yes.

Food, Inc.

Content-wise it's fantastic, but some of the stylistic choices really irked me.  I found the graphics used throughout to be really hokey and silly and the music was a bit bombastic for my tastes.  When we're in one of the factories we get this evil sounding electric guitar with ominous drumbeats and then we move to the organic farms and the acoustic guitar breaks out and noodles an airy little tune.  The film is obviously making its case against the way food is currently being manufactured, but a little subtlety with the music would have been nice, especially when the words and images are already so powerful.

This will definitely give viewers a lot to think about and hopefully get them to make some positive changes in how they view food and how they eat.

Great review, but I think you need to look up who Patrick Swayze is. :)
