The Bourne Ultimatum
Still my favorite action movie of all time and, I think, objectively one of the best action movies ever made (I would say THE best). This is very close to a perfect movie.
But is it better than Back to the Future?
It's in my Top 100 of the Decade, fo sho. But not my All Time Top 100.
District 9
I found the lead character very much a tool, and that hurt my enjoyment a bit.
I thought he did a great job of going from a dorky paper pusher to a guy who is fighting for his life. The transformation he makes was really amazing to me. One of my favorite performances of the year.
An Unlikable, dorky paper pusher. He was a real rotter, a spineless jellyfish of a man who did some pretty heinous things in the beginning.
