I liked Zombieland more too. Shaun always runs out of steam for me.

Crazy.  Shaun of the Dead is one of the few movies for me that I could watch on loop until the end of time and it would only get better with each viewing.

Latest two movies from my marathon.

Out of Sight: Excepting the memorable trunk sequence, flawed but enjoyable as unserious entertainment.

The Thin Red Line: Gorgeous (and painful) images, but uninteresting stories and a boring narrator put this well below Days of Heaven.

Both of those films are atrocities, and Eisenberg is the best thing about the two, and they are probably on near level ground, but the sheer stupidity of Zombieland mixed with the overall annoying factor outweighs the same elements in Shaun. Neither of the films have anything resembling passable comedy, and I certainly did not laugh once during either film, and are both severely outclassed by a throw away film like Fired Up!.

Congratulations retracted.

Shaun of the Dead

Zombieland > SotD

Zombieland is a zombie film with comedy. Shaun of the Dead is a fantastic parody of the zombie genre while also being a great entry in the zombie genre.

Have I lost it? (And if I have, what is it that I've lost?)
Slumdog Millionaire

This film perfectly captures how I feel about movies.

Wow, just woke up, didn't know SotD had that much love over Zombieland.  I was never considering which made a better parody as I really do not know the genre.  I recall having maybe just watched on of those Dawn of the Dead movies back in the 80s so I have little frame of reference to them.  Zombieland just made me laugh more and that might have something to do with having watching Zombieland first so it seemed original to me.  Plus, Metillica during the opening credits rocks.

Swordsman 2 (1992  Siu-Tung Ching and Stanley Tong)

The last half of my Far East Bracket. This film like so many other martial arts films is a mess. Poor quality subtitles, editing, acting and script. The fight scenes were pretty good (it is always good to watch Jet Li). Still I do enjoy watching these films.

I watched Hoosiers and Swing Shift for an 80s US bracket pairing. Meh, Hoosiers wins. Contrary to the Hoosiers plotline, this pairing played out a bit more like this year's NCAA championship, the big dog wins in the end.
