Easy argument to end...

The Family Guy is the dumbest show to ever air on TV. It thinks one thing is funny, making stupid pop culture references. It is actually pretty bad at even that, it's sole purpose.

The Family Guy is mediocre, but it's no The West Wing when it comes to bad TV.  :)

Movies>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>99.99% of TV Series, that .01% has Seinfeld in it.

Or LOST for that matter.

I love sports in general but haven't watched a ice hockey game. Still thought this movie was pretty damn awesome.

Michael Clayton (2007, Tony Gilroy) Grade A

This film only got 14 total votes across 11 best of the decade categories but it contains Tom Wilkenson's, Tilda Swinton's and George Clooney's best performances of the Aughts.    The film itself is pretty good too.

every single one of these statements is incorrect.  (esp Wilkenson who is just awful here.)

That the film only got 14 votes is correct.  :P

P.S. As per the other discussion, I do like The Godfather better than Goodfellas which I actually dislike.

I really don't get the Goodfellas love. I love Gangster films but found say Casino to be far Superior and Once Upon a Time in America to be a sort of a benchmark.

Titanic (1997, James Cameron)

"I don't know about you, but I intend to write a strongly worded letter to the White Star Line about all this."

Grade: Best movie-going experience of my adolescence.

Do you agree that a lot of the effects don't hold up?

they do a pretty good job, they aren't world beating or whatever but they didn't suck me out of the film so that's all good.

I saw The Titanic as a 15-16 year old kid in India in a small tv and was ignorant of all the hype. I LOVED the movie. For me The Titanic is about emotions, not the special effects.

ferris has two reviews of movies that i love and remember. Of Titanic he said, "It was an hour and a half of a lousy love story and and 45 minutes of a decent disaster movie."

I also have punished myself with this moving picture. Please, tell me what they are like, the men and the women, oh, talkie-film! Forever, I shall be lost in shame and inconsequence without your guideful direction. Pour yourself unto me, that I might become enlightened, forthright, and not at all repulsed by these two humanish creatures which you feature as actors.
