Happy Thanksgiving
« Reply #10 on: November 24, 2006, 02:17:28 AM »
lets see... tonights thanksgiving was definitely all about being with friends, and it was the first thanksgiving for a few people there.

So we had.. turkey with fresh cranberries and gravy (none of the canned cranberry stuff), mashed potatoes, stuffing, ham, rolls, 2 Japanese dishes (one sticky rice dessert and one fish and mushroom dish), an Indian rice dish, a jelly roll, pumpkin pie, cheese cake pie, there was a chocolate mouse pie that came later, 4 bottles of wine, a bottle of port, and a bottle of late harvest muscat. Needless to say I don't think I will be eating tomorrow, or the next day... :D

oh and chips and salsa before... fresh fruit after...

I love thanksgiving!

I forgot it was Thanksgiving on that day until I noticed that the stock market was updating at all.  But at least was out enjoying nice local singer doing an evening of Billy Holiday songs. need to check out more from this new talent...

It is a day I get a break from having to join any evening conference call with the US plus I receive far fewer emails overnight... so something I can give thanks for.  Otherwise, still have work

Although we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK. Thanksgiving only starts once Cecil Martin carves up the big bird, during the NFL coverage.
It's a time honoured tradition in the UK ;D

Is Friday (tomorrow) a Public Holiday? If not I'd have that day as a holiday and make it a long weekend ;)

Happy Thanksgiving all! :) :) :)
