I guess I shall be lounging in chat until the start of the final bit of the countdown, while doing a bit of work. Looks like it is odds on that a full quarter of the list was on my top-100. That's a bingo!

Mark my words, the three films to jump up into the top 25 (that were't there last year) will be Spirited Away, A Wonderful Life and Apocalypse Now.

We deliberated thus in chat, so it's pretty much scientific fact.

There might actually be 4 films that move into the top 25. On the spreadsheet, it looked like Mulholland Drive was 26, but I forgot that the top row was used for column titles, so it was actually #25 and it has already appeared. So, Joan of Arc, Mulholland Drive, 8 1/2 and The Third Man all fell out of the top 25.

I'm sure Spirited Away made the jump (it was in my top 5) and the other 2 are probably right. Could the other one be Yi Yi?

Pleases to see that Sunset Blvd. has risen.

Thanks to everyone for voting, for commenting and taking part in the chats.  Obviously this is impossible to do without your participation and I hope you all get as much enjoyment from it every year as I do.

Comments and suggestions for next year's are always welcome.

Full spreadsheet is also available in the opening countdown post.

I DEMAND A RECOUNT!

I can't believe Close Encounters didn't make it!

Final count: 29 from my own list.

As is inevitable with this kind of aggregated voting, the list mostly tends to be the iconic, canonical titles with a handful of "modern classics".  I don't see this as a disappointment... we're an eclectic bunch with widely varying tastes so of course the consensus is mainly going to occur on those films that everybody loves.  Still, I can't help wishing there were a few more surprises.

It's really seeing your individual lists that makes this endeavor worthwhile, the aggregated list is just a bonus.

Thanks to Wilson and all the participants for the hard work you put into this.

Yes, this actually ended up being the case and Taxi Driver slipped in.

My top 100 and the general top 100.  Shared = 35.

It'd be much more if it's my top 200.  A lot of great movies there.
