39 from my list made it on the countdown.  Not bad.  :D

CINECAST!ing Raiders of the Lost Ark being a spot higher than Singin' in the Rain makes me think this list is personally trolling me. Hmmph.

I feel the same way about them both being on the list!

It's been a very interesting journey and I've loved to take part of all those individual lists. It's like peaking into someone elses bookshelves or picture albums, which is something I like to do out of pure curiosity.

The end list isn't quite as exciting, but it still has a certain value as the result of a common effort. There are many, many movies on that list which I haven't watched - and on the individual lists as well. So if I ever need an idea about what to see next, I know where to look. I'm pretty certain my own list will have changed quite a bit next year. It already feels a bit old, but then I wrote it in a rush a Saturday afternoon, without putting too much thinking into it.  :-[

A couple years ago I took the effort to watch all of the FS 100, and it was so worth the effort.  Not to be a clone of the community, but to have a basic, well-rounded film education.  The personal lists are challenging and quirky and certainly a lot more fun to read.  But the FS 100 makes for a great basics list, whether we agree or disagree with the certain films.  Although I really disliked Goodfellas, I'm glad I watched it, if only to perpetuate the conversation.

And the chat on any of the lists is always fantastic.  For those who haven't participated in the chat during the posting (whether top 100 or 100 performances or whatever), please participate.  It is one of the best parts of this community.

I went through the Top 500 and found 27 unwatched. However, most of them are unwatched for very good reasons, and I think it would be a marathon of endurance, not discovery. A few titles are in my Director's of Shame Marathon.  I'm posting the list in case some of you want to make arguments for me watching it or post Ranks.

1. Tree of Life - I will watch this on Blu-Ray
2. Ratcatcher - DOS, but most of you know why
3. Brighter Summer Day
4. Pather Panchali
5. I Fidanzati
6. Il Posto
7. My Winnipeg
8. Friday Night / Vendredi Soir
9. Jeanne Dielman…
10. My Night at Maud's
11. Long Day Closes
12. Vertical Ray of the Sun - DOS
13. Welfare
14. Love Me Tonight
15. Platform
16. Pierrot le fou
17. Whisper of the Heart
18. Woman is a Woman
19. Harakiri - DOS
20. House - Shocktober Marathon
21. World of Apu - Upcoming Marathon
22. Ordet
23. The Hole
24. Daguerreotypes
25. Tale of Tales
26. Paris is Burning

I'd be curious what you think of Rohmer.  I'd be curious what everyone thinks of Rohmer.

2. My Night at Maud's
3. Sans soleil
4. My Winnipeg
