Splatter Time Fun Fest 2011 Poll Time
« on: August 22, 2011, 10:53:42 AM »
It's that time again folks, Splatter Time Fun Fest is upon us. Same deal as every year, I'm aiming for thirteen films. I've picked three that I am definitely doing, and everyone else gets to vote for the other ten films. I've tried to have a nice variety and make sure that it's one film per director. Availability was an issue, quite a few films I wanted to include in this poll but I couldn't because they weren't available to me. You can vote up to five times, and the poll will be open for the next ten days. Here are the three films already in,

House (1977)
Possession (1981) - Thanks to W@W, who is sending me this one so I can include it in the marathon :)
Day of the Dead (1985)

Help me fill in these last ten spots and vote in the poll, let me know what you vote for as well, let's make this fun.  ;D

So looking forward to this Oct. I haven't made an official list, but I feel like I have too many films planned for this year. I want to focus on B&W horror, though I'm also planning to finally take on Cannibal Holocaust, as well as Motel Hell and Vampire Circus.

I considered going with some sort of theme, but there's so much horror that I want to get to that I decided not to restrict my options like that. I'm hoping the voting turns out with a nice cross section of horror sub-genres, decades in film, and countries of origin. I have confidence in the FS forum folks making this happen. :)

So true. I didn't even vote for one I recommended to you because there's so much good stuff.

Vampire Circus is never going to get picked if you put it to a vote. The only film on both your potential list and mine is Cat People (1942) so at least there's that.

I have 25 films on my list, which is too many to get to inside one month, even for me. So I've unofficially started already. (That's why I watched Let's Scare Jessica to Death. Tonight, I'm planning to watch 1963's Black Sabbath.)

The results are in, but one serious question before I finalize the list. Those of you who have seen I Saw The Devil, is it a horror film? I heard from quite a few people that it was, thus its inclusion in this list, but now I'm hearing from a lot of people that it isn't, what say you?
