So I don't cook but your food creations are inspiring so...
Bottled #homebrew #3 this eve! First partial grain brew was a Winter Warmer with malted barley(s), hops, honey, vanilla bean, cinnamon sticks & fresh ground nutmeg... can't stand the wait to taste!
also, 2 blended concoctions and a syrup, created this weekend that turned out fantastic:
- Frozen Pomegranate Mojito (Serves 8 )-
1 cup white rum
2 oz Pama (pomegranate liqueur)
juice if 6 limes
1/3 cup of simple sugar
20 mint leaves
- Blend w/ ice & serve in an cocktail glass with a mint sprig
- Caffè Ubriaco (serves 6) -
2 oz Starbucks (coffee liqueur)
2 oz Van Gogh Double Espresso Vodka
2 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
3/4 cup milk (2%)
1 cup coffee ice cream
1 tablespoon coarse ground coffee beans
- Blend w/ ice till the consistency is like a malted milkshake, serve in an irish coffee mug, top w/ whipped cream & a chocolate covered espresso bean.
note... the garnishes are an assumption of what would look and taste great, i usually don't find myself in formal garnishing setting.
- Cinnamon and Amaretto Syrup -
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 oz amaretto
5 cinnamon sticks
- combine all ingredients (less water for thicker syrup) and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and let simmer for 10-15 minutes. Let cool. Pour over banana pancakes (Whomever is making you the real food that morning will appreciate it!)
