I want to drink a champagne cocktail, but I don't know what it is.  It's a lot of different things on the internet, but what is it in a bar?

yeah, pretty much any cocktail with champagne in it. From the traditional Mimosa, Bellini (technically, prosecco) and Kir Royal to more complex crafted cocktails. Its actually getting to be a popular sub in Mojitos instead of seltzer. Had a really good one called a Starry Night at a bar a couple weeks ago - Champagne, St. Germain, Chambord Vodka, Lime.

I've been informed that my Cold & Flu season cocktail, the Cough Drop (a shot of Nyquil dropped into a half-pint of hard cider and chugged) is bad for the liver. Who knew?

Love that name Starry Night. I want one!

I guess I'll have to order one at the bar and see what the bar thinks, like suggested.

I love Belgian beers (all of them), red wines (lot of stuff from Italy and France), Cognac (Otard XO and Napoleon) and rum (El Dorado 15 years).

Except for Hoegaarden, correct?

I've recently found a small vineyard off the beaten track that specializes in chilli wine. It sounds a little crazy but the wines are amazing, I'm especially fond of the chilli tarrango which has a bit of a kick to it. They also produce a delicious rhubarb wine.

I have just been testing out a new spiced rum. My wife introduced me to Captain Morgans Original Spiced Rum, which is lovely mixed with lemonade (7-Up to those in the USA). Bacardi have recently brought out Oakheart a spiced rum, so we decided to buy a bottle and give it a try.

Well the Bacardi is much more like a Bourbon, very much a sweet molasses smell, while the Captain Morgans has a much smoother smell. The tasting followed the same line, the Bacardi was sweeter and less smooth. So it looks like we will be sticking with the Captain Morgans.
