I'm not a margarita lover, but I like a good one.  Well, I found a little margarita secret in Santa Fe.  In dining rooms with only a beer/wine license, they are making an agave wine margarita and it is delicious.  Also, marvelously easy to make, if you can find the agave wine, of course.  I haven't searched for it, so I don't know how difficult it may be to locate.

Salt the rim of the glass and pour over ice.

Not really a fall drink, but in the hot summer it will be amazing!

Patrón XO

Coffee Tequila liqueur. Anyone tried this? Strikes me as being popular in Texas/ Arizona.

Was talking to the manager of this Cuban bar about cocktails, and he mentioned one made with XO and Butternut Squash. So he poured me a mouthful of this stuff, because he couldn't describe what it was properly. Just amazing. Most of the cocktails you make with it are of the coffee and (heavy/ double) cream variety. Any suggestions? I might wig out with this over Christmas. 30 quid a bottle here.

Not sure if it is my favorite, but this apple moonshine is pretty exceptional.

In non-favorites, I'm finding more and more that Sam Adams products are actually quite disappointing. Once upon a time I thought differently, but now I've become more sophisticated.

I thought similar on Sam Adams but really miss Sierra Nevada beer especially their IPA if lucky enough to find it.
