The mods and I have discussed the issue of multiple postings in this forum to your same personal blog posts outside the forum.  Here is what we've decided:

Post once linking to your personal blog.  Put this post in any thread you choose.

Then you can internally link within the forum to that linked post in one or two other threads which you think are relevant.

Got it.  Good to know the current policies.

And, of course, all the Filmspotting women are the best, especially ses and Candice.

So apparently we didn't decide to require full text reviews in the review thread? Because this little one paragraph and a link thing is the bit that really pisses me off. That seems fine for the blog thread but if you are posting in a review thread, post the review!

I have been thinking about this as well, and I've now changed my mind to be on Bondo's side. In a review thread, you should post the full review. I will be doing this from now on.

This is the way I've been doing it all the time. I don't think it changes very much. I get more comments on my reviews as I post them on my blog than in the forum anyway.

And the fact that your review also is posted on the forum won't keep me from commenting on it at your blog.

My biggest problem is that I often don't have that much to say about reviews since there are so many movies and more often than you might think I haven't watched the movie you're making a review about - sometimes I haven't even heard of it. It makes it a little hard to add something relevant. But as long as I have something to say, I'll go to the blog whenever I can.
