Is that a rule? If it is, it's a stupid one.

Id rather people nominate films that they HAVE seen that they think would create good discussion, AND that they think a fairly substansial portion of the group hasnt seen.

Where was all of this rebuttal back when smirnoff proposed and everyone loved the idea of anonymous submission of films one hasn't seen in order to minimize the feeling of personal accountability/offense being on the line?

Well, I didn't read every post in this thread because I was busy at the time. I must have missed it.

I can't remember, do you have to participate in the movie of the week in order to submit a movie for subsequent weeks?  I am just returning from vacation, memory is still shot.

I did, although it was difficult to come up with one with relatively wide appeal and is somewhat easily available.

It doesn't NEED to be something you haven't seen. We just figured if you want to participate in the club it's partly to see stuff you haven't seen before.

And ses, anybody can submit. You don't need to necessarily participate. I'm plugging the choices into the spreadsheet anonymously anyway.

General Lorens praising the food and being responded to with silence is hilarious. That was my favorite part of the movie; the first 10 minutes or so of the feast.

I responded to this in the discussion thread for the movie over here.
