The correct answer is anyone but Timothy Dalton.
I disagree. He'd probably be my second choice after Craig. I like his more serious, grounded approach to Bond.

Agreed. I felt the same way as jim going into the marathon, but I was surprised to see how much I liked him the second time around, and also surprised that all three of us pretty much enjoyed him in the role. Dalton gets an unwarranted bad rap.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that you two (corndog and sam) both liked Dalton as much as myself, I was almost sure that the late 80s was one we'ed get into some arguments about what happened to the character. I was getting ready for it at least, and then...everybody sung praises!

I like to consider myself the Bond fan number 1 (anybody want to challenge? He, he, he...).

In keeping with my rotating avatars, sometimes even anonymous Bond avatars, I shan't reveal my answer. Ha ha ha!

I voted for Connery, although Pierce Brosnan was a close second.

I actually like them all about equally. Still I did pick and went for the current Bond.

This reminds me of one of the most charming scenes of the 00's: in Lucky Number Slevin Hartnett and Lu are sitting on the bed together and the subject of James Bond comes up and they both agree to say who their favourite Bond actor is on the count of three. I don't remember who but one of them blurts out Lazenby. It's f'ing hilarious. The movie itself is in that oft-copied,  never-bettered Ritchie-esque gangster style and is kind of annoying because of that, but still, it's light and fun.
