Obvious self whoring thread
« on: November 28, 2006, 06:16:20 AM »
Well, not literally whoring.  But anyway, I've been hard at work over the last few days photgraphing and scanning my work, and putting it in my Etsy shop.  Etsy is a really cool site where artists and crafters can sell their work in a market style environment -- it's worth checking out for pure the geek factor alone.  I've had an account for a while, but never really used it -- I sold stuff from my own website instead, but Etsy have just done a big update and incorporated a lot of the things I wanted, so I decided to move all my items across, add my new artwork, and give them a proper go.

I still have some tweaking to do (need to add finishing touches like a banner at the top of the shop, and I'm not happy with some of my images) but let me know what you think. :)

Alex, feel free to delete this thread if you think it's too whore-y.

On the contrary, show 'em a little leg, sister.  The Johns like a little leg.

I really like the "fortunate enough" series. Especially the ones with color. I don't know what it is, but they resonate with me. Now I sound like an art critic, which I am most definitely not.

Those are my favourites too.  Most people seem to like the Alice prints the best, but I love my little nebulae lithographs.

I don't know much about art but they look neat.

Congrats. The only success I have had with my photography is selling a picture of my cat to a friend for 15 bucks. You are much better than I am.
