Finally catching up with the new Vampire Weekend.

Curious what people think are some of the best albums of the year so far. I've done such a horrible job of keeping up with new music but I'd love some recommendations.

That album is good. On the pop side, there's Lizzo and Carly Rae Jepsen doing amazing work. For rap, I've gotten into Dawn Richard, and for rock, The National is doing some interesting new stuff on their latest album, including having a lot of women vocalists on many songs.

Best album so far is the new Juice WRLD, probably, though it is bloated. New YG that dropped today is pretty CINECAST!ing fire, as is the Beast Coast album. The Tyler from last week is good, though the parts where he's not rapping are a little too much for FLY. Carly Rae is also good, same with new tMG.

Springsteen on Broadway, which is on Netflix, is a great set by the Boss.   Acoustic, with a lot of stories about the people around him through the years, it's personal and full of unique takes of his songs.

For me...

1. Crushing by Julia Jacklin
2. Father of the Bride by Vampire Weekend
3. Me You They We by Ages and Ages
4. Effluxion by Telekinesis
5. Late Riser by Frances Cone
6. Titanic Rising by Weyes Blood
7. Lux Prima by Karen O & Danger Mouse
8. Heard it in a Past Life by Maggie Rogers
9. Gallipoli by Beirut

Pretty stoked for new Raconteurs and Marika Hackman albums as well.

7. Lux Prima by Karen O & Danger Mouse

This sent me on an internet spiral hole, discovering Danger Mouse.  Genius stuff, there.

Yep, his collaboration with James Mercer (The Shins) in the band Broken Bells is good stuff.
