Just saw a great outdoor festival show last night: Feist and Timber Timbre. I'll be linking to photos and videos when they're up.

There's an interview in The Guardian with Elizabeth Fraser, ex Cocteau Twins, it's well worth a read. She lives in Bristol now?

Great article and I love the fact that she is ready to come back to music - her voice is a treasure.

Cool.. use to really love the Cocteau Twins and still listen to them from time to time.

Heaven Or Las Vegas is one of my go to albums - it's amazing.

It makes sense her in Bristol - one of the best things she's done post-CT is with Massive Attack:

I keep having Silversun Pickups songs popping up on my radar, one way and another. Is it me, or do they sound like a washed out, bubblegummed version of Filter? I know Filter might be a bit of an obscure touchpoint, but really that's what they sound like to me. Besides, consider my audience. You all know who Filter were, right?

Holy crap, it turns out Filter are still around. That's just weird.

Remember when you were thirteen or so and you liked every song on Changesonebowie except “John, I'm Only Dancing”? And now you realize it’s the best song on the album. Life’s funny, eh?

Just taking a moment to appreciate this post.

Not sure why this popped in my head, and I'm not necessarily proud that it did, but it is what it is. At least I will present it in academic form:

Ke$ha : A Prostitute :: Lana Del Rey : An Escort

I guess the general thought that came into my head was that Lana Del Rey is the classier version on Ke$ha. I don't know.
