Haven't seen:
A Chairy Tale
The Cranes Are Flying
The Enemy Below
Le Notti Bianche
N.Y., N.Y.
Nights of Cabiria
The Pajama Game
Pyaasa
Silk Stockings
Witness for the Prosecution

I suppose I'll knock out the shorts I haven't seen since those will be quick watches.

Priorities: Cranes, Le Notti, Nights, Pyaasa, Witness
Would like to revisit: Bridge, Face in the Crowd, Seventh Seal. For sure will rewatch Strawberries because it's in my top 100 and it's re-evaluation time.

There will be some rewatches. Definitely What's Opera Doc and Sweet Smell. Maybe Wild Strawberries and Cranes. Definitely not Pyaasa.

What's your reason on the last one?

Watched Pyaasa during the Discovery Project. Except for some story developments in the back half I found it exceedingly uninteresting. Uninspired filmmaking with performances no better than slightly above average. Hated all but one of the songs. Didn't post a review because I know this is the unpopular opinion and I can't mount a proper intellectual counter-argument, only my emotional response.

Sounds like a perfect film to rewatch.

Switch songs for battles and you have my feelings on Throne of Blood. I might try to rewatch Throne of Blood, unlike my other two unpopular opinions for the year I don't really have memorable reasons for disliking it, just apathy.

Haven't seen: The Enemy Below, The Pajama Game, Silk Stockings. Maybe I'll get to them, probably not all three.

Silk Stocking is easily the least important, especially considering the category and competition. The other 2 are good, fun movies. The nominations are incidental to the fact that they are the opposite of difficult to sit through and enjoy.

Another reason for not watching Pyaasa is that none of the reviews or articles I read made me rethink my own reaction. So there's nothing new to look for with a rewatch. It'll only reinforce my disappointment.
