The Daytrippers (1996)
« on: July 11, 2012, 10:33:44 PM »
I really liked this movie the first (and only time I saw it).  It has a madcap melancholy, kind of like Pieces of April (2003), but more fun and less sentimental.  Greg Mottola wrote and directed this, so that might entice fans of his work, but for me, Stanley Tucci was the draw for me here because always finds his way into something interesting.  I think filmspotters would enjoy this film...

My favorite Greg Mottola. Good performances from a great cast. (and Crackle).

Yeah, this is my favorite Mottola, too.  It's also on Hulu.

I really liked this too. Anne McCabe's editing is excellent, she also did a great job on You Can Count on Me.
