Presenting the nominees for Best Short Film...

     — The Amputee
     — The Heron and the Crane
     — The Miracle of Flight
     — 'Twas the Night Before Christmas
     — Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too

The other films to receive votes were A Poet's Life, Voyage to Next, The Great Ecstasy of Woodcarver Steiner, Star Garden, Mr. Frog Went A-Courting, X-Ray, and It's a Mystery, Charlie Brown.

I didn't care for most of these. Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too and The Amputee are the only 2 worth watching. As for my vote, it goes to Winnie. No contest.

RESULTS UPDATE
Best Short Film


The Miracle of Flight, The Amputee, and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas earned a single vote apiece.

The remaining eight votes were split between The Heron and the Crane and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too. One of them will be the Best Short Film of 1974.
