Presenting the nominees for Best Line...

     — "Excuse me while I whip this out." from Blazing Saddles
     — "'Course I'm respectable. I'm old. Politicians, ugly buildings, and whores all get respectable if they last long enough." from Chinatown
     — "Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown." from Chinatown
     — "I know it was you, [...]. You broke my heart." from The Godfather: Part II
     — "Tell me what you want me to... how you want me to be. I can be that. I can be anything." from A Woman Under the Influence

"He'd kill us if he got the chance." from The Conversation just missed the cut.

Sounds like a rip-off of the Filmspot nominated line from MacGruber to me. ;D

"Foxy, look, I'm a black man, and I don't know how to sing, and I don't know how to dance, and I don't know how to preach to no congregation. I'm too small to be a football hero, and I'm too ugly to be elected mayor. But I watch TV, and I see all them people and all them fine homes they live in and all them nice cars they drive, and I get all full of ambition. Now you tell me what I'm supposed to do with all this ambition I got?"

This is the category where it comes down to Chinatown vs. Godfather Part II. If the winner is "Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown." then Chinatown will take Best Picture. If it goes to "I know it was you, [...]. You broke my heart." then The Godfather: Part II will take the big prize.

Had I seen it in in time, I would have nominated this from Pelham:

"Wise up, for chrissake, we're trying to run a city, not a goddamn democracy!"

I split these.

Best Line

"I know it was you, [...]. You broke my heart." from The Godfather: Part II received just a single vote, finishing in fifth place.

"'Course I'm respectable. I'm old. Politicians, ugly buildings, and whores all get respectable if they last long enough." from Chinatown managed two votes, for a fourth place finish.

This category is a three-way battle between the remaining nominees (one from Blazing Saddles, one from Chinatown, and one from A Woman Under the Influence), with two nominees finished tied for second place, and the winner just a few points ahead.
