Spirited Away (2002)   100
Nausicaä (1984)   99

I love asking people to quantify these microscopically small differences, even though I know it usually tough to put into words. Care to try anyways? What makes the 1 pt difference here? :)

It isn't really microscopic.  If I could give Spirited Away 120 or 150, I would.  It is my only film worth 100, and it will remain so for the time being.  Nausicaa I deeply love, but it doesn't really compare to my love for Spirited Away.  Really, my list begins at 99, and SA is the only one that goes beyond that.

I am preparing a SA hyperbole fest, so I will hold off until then.

In my case I gave 100 to my top 50 films, then 99 to the next 20 or so and 98 to the final top 100 films and then worked down from there. You can take a bottom up or a top down view, but ya gots ta decide (glass half/empty scenario).

Is there a big list of animated films everyone uses to rate/check things off? The ones I find in search are terrible.

Bump!

Keep thinking about those lists. Ideally they'll start rolling in soon.

I'm going to watch Arrietty first, then submit. It'll be on the list, I just don't know where yet.
