The first season is quite dour, yes. The second and third are often hilarious. Sometimes morbidly so.

I would say it's thrilling and attention grabbing... but also depressing. Massively depressing.

The Leftovers. The Deuce. Top Of The Lake S02. And I haven’t watched Twin Peaks S03 yet. It has been a great TV year. There should be a Filmspot category for Television. :D

Really enjoyed season 1 of The Punisher. Probably my favourite of the Netflix Marvel shows. Jon Bernthal is perfectly cast.
