Rewatched Season 1 of Atlanta and loved it even more this time around. Season 2 starts off with an all-time great episode. Some huge laughs and a great guest star.

I watched the first two episodes. It didn't do much for me.

Ugly Delicious
First episode really didn't do much for me. Cheng doesn't have much charisma and his ideas aren't very deep, and are often a bit cliché. Pass.

Collateral
Two episodes in and not very impressed. It's well done, but just feels like every other cop drama out there. The immigration stuff is certainly topical, but is handled in the bluntest, least nuanced way possible. A show were almost every character clearly represents an idea more than a human being.

Binged S1 of Big Little Lies this weekend. Enjoyable fluff. Not sure it screams award winner if not for the names involved.

1. *Spoilers*?
2. Some of it just seemed like showing off
3. Imagine what Hitchcock - who was notorious for despising location filming - could have done with this technology.

As usual, I'm late to a great series, but I'm finally watching Downton Abby.  Just finished Season 1 and it was fantastic.  What great character building, cinematography and writing.  And the actors! Marvelous.  And Dame Maggie just sparkles every time she's on the screen.  I'm so glad to have caught up with this.

Wonderful. I felt pretty late to the party myself when I went through it some time last year. You're in for it now! :))

Why did he despise location filming?
