Click here to see the full list of 298 films receiving votes.

The full spreadsheet (films ranked by total points) is now available. I'll also need to update the iCM list at some point soon.

Thanks for doing this. Like I said in the chat, doing a no frills list as you called it was a nice compliment to a lot of the bigger board projects we do (I would sort of like to put together a noir one come Noir-vember personally).

Regarding the list...generally happy with where things turned up. I feel like Im as much of a Pixar or Miyazki person as the next guy, but my favorites from both differ a bit from the group census.

The iCheckMovies list has been updated with the new results.

Also, consider this your list discussion thread. Let me know if there are any other stats things that need knowing.

Thank you Bondo for doing this.

Top 10 Vote Value (with more than one vote)

*scratches head* not sure what this means?

I am pleased that Spirited Away came in at number 1, but surprised (not disappointed) at Pixar taking the next 6 positions.

Best Vote Value is maybe a complicated way of saying the average points per ballot upon which the film appeared. It is meant to distinguish between films that scored well by appearing on many ballots (perhaps lower) and those that appeared due to higher ratings on fewer ballots. Those with high vote value may have the greatest chance of moving up in future years as more people watch them.

I still prefer tiny's quote from the last time:
The Pixar run at the end there kind of made me a little queasy.

I think Pixar is a very good animation studio, generally reliable, but they don't figure heavily into my own top ten and while many people did have them at the top of their ballot, the fact that they are absent from the vote value top 10 is a partial indication of how they have succeeded through simply being the common denominator. Everyone has seen them and doesn't dislike them.

Thanks for the explanation. I agree about the Pixar comment 'Everyone has seen them and doesn't dislike them' drive that puts them in the top rankings.
