Got caught up with the Locke and Key series. It's really good, some horror elements, some fantasy elements. Not a happy time, but not entirely dour either. Really great ideas with clever twists and interesting characters.

Read all the released Saga issues last night. Whoa. Really cool. Guess I'll be reading my first monthly comic in the monthly format.

Comes out tomorrow! It's easily the best thing I'm reading right now.

Currently catching up on BPRD. Not as consistent as Hellboy, but still really good. I think the arcs are much more epic but the series still focuses first and foremost on the characters.

You got Habibi there, have you read Blankets?

I checked Blankets out from the library, but never got around to reading it.  Do you recommend?

I really should read Bone, it's just one of those series I've always been interested in, just never got around to buying it. I know there's a color version now. I assume that's the one to get. Also haven't read Maus, even though it doesn't cost that much and I know a lot of people love it.

I'm currently nearing about 3/4ths through BPRD. Enjoying it a lot and I like seeing how the characters progress over time. The art can be pretty inconsistent. There's one artist in particular who I think is pretty mediocre, but 1947's art by Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá is amazing stuff. I heard they're doing an arc coming up so I'm looking forward to seeing them draw again.

Also picked up Saga #7 yesterday. If you want to read an ongoing series, this is probably the one I'd recommend. Weird and fantastical but grounded in a lot of familiar relational stuff.

Very much so. It's on my list. Seems like it would be right up your alley, too.

Read Saga #7 yesterday. I'm gonna have to get used to not being able to read the next chapter right away.

Bone is amazing. Really fun but also really intense in spots. It's like the tones of LotR mixed with The Hobbit.

I've got BPRD sitting on my shelf right now.  Now that I'm done with Rowling's new book, I can get to it.

Bone is amazing both in B and W and in color.  I own it in B and W.  My daughters really like the color, though.

I'll give Blankets a shot.
