Looks like it will be the Academy Award winners for screenplay.  Anyone else want in?  I will draw names tonight.

oldkid will be watching:

...unless he's already seen it and just didn't rank it, in which case he'll be watching An American in Paris.  And if he's seen that, then he should PM me.

Martin gets Going My Way. I like it best of the small selection he has not seen.

If you like it, I think the sequel, The Bells of St. Marys is better and worth checking out.

I love Bing Crosby for what he is, and what he is not is Oscar material. So you have to remove that baggage from your mind. On the other hand, Going My Way has Barry Fitzgerald, in one of his best performances.

I have seen Bells of St Marys and did not care for it.  I actually might have seen GMW before, but if I did, the memory is too hazy to matter.

If you arent enthusiastic about GMW, I have no problem with you doing Coming Home instead...that was my 2nd choice of the ones you hadnt seen.

Nah, I'll stick to the spirit of the thing.  It is a dictator club, after all.

Antares will be watching one of my favourites, A Man and a Woman. Hopefully this works out better than 1SO's viewing.
