I've heard of Slack but haven't used it. What's the difference with a chat ?

It's mostly similar to a traditional chat, but you can also have threads like a forum. The chat persists so that you can drop in and out more easily. Also it has nice mobile, desktop and web clients.

Could the forum organise some times for chat...Fridays/Saturdays would be preferable,
