Great first episode. Russell and Rhys were incredible together.

She's no Felicity in this one.  She's a tough Commie.

The pilot was such a fine set-up of the situation, the sympathies, the conflicts, the mixed messages.  The only flaw was the agent conveniently moving in next door unless that will figure into the plot later as not a coincidence at all which I hope is the case because otherwise, it's lazy writing.

(The other flaw is that women didn't wear their jeans below the waist until much later in time.  The belted Guess jeans in the first scene were perfect for the time.  Then they switched to the low jeans and it was anachronistic and jarring.)

And yet I found it interesting how the main characters commented on the chances of coincidence of an agent moving in. I don't think of it as lazy writing, just suspension of disbelief that most TV shows seem to require.

If I had to guess, Rhys' character will talk to Emmerich's about defecting. Hopefully the show will take chances like that instead of a slow boil over the course of many years.

sometimes, suspension of disbelief = lazy writing

This show has all the elements to make it great.  I hope the writing holds up.

Hmm, apparently, I can't stream it via my iPad on Hulu.  Guess it'll be FX.

It's possible that iPad doesn't support hulu streaming.  Did FX work?

I watched it by streaming to my computer then to the TV with the hdmi cable.
