"I Dreamed A Dream" not getting Scene or Shot is rather depressing.

I like most of these. There are at least 3 good choices for each category, I think. Could have used more Pi, Lincoln (in the top 2 cats), Anna Karenina, and Cloud Atlas, all of which placed above The Master and ZDT and Django for me. Still, since Moonrise Kingdom was my top film of the year I'll be happy to vote for it in a lot of things.

Damn it, am I really going to have to watch Rust and Boner just for that one shot? I can't just like look at it or something?

Rust and Bone - "Whale Clip" is online, but the power of the shot is  the emotional release most of the film has been building towards.

This I like. Thanks for the link 1SO.

I am just going to assume that no one saw Anna Karenina. Yep, that's it. Once everyone gets a chance to see it, 2012 Filmspots will be remembered for the year of regret, that year that no one saw Anna Karenina before nominations and therefore it missed out on everything. What a shame.

I'm joking, of course, but I would have liked to see a few good, deserving technical nominations at least.

I nominated it for Best Art Direction.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Knightley was at least as good as most of the Lead Actress nominees and it was a technical marvel.

It's also funny how Spielberg can make at least one top five movie two years running and not have one nomination for BP or BD for either of those two years. Are we too good for him or something?

FLY would say so. I'm indifferent.
