Which Internet Cataloging Site is the Best?
« on: May 08, 2013, 11:18:02 AM »
I Check Movies is my top pick, but I sense a lot of people moving to Letterboxd. I don't want to be spread among different formats.

If Letterboxd had an app I'd use it. It's why I started actually using Goodreads.

Letterboxd is nice. I still use IMDB for my own personal movie-tracking. I'm not sure if I'm interested in the social aspects enough to switch over to somewhere else, but I do like how Letterboxd makes it easy to organize arbitrary-ordered lists (like a Top 100).

The mobile site for Letterboxd is good enough for now. Still, a real app would be fantastic.

Speaking of apps, I contacted icheckmovies a while back about and app and they said it was in the works. Looks like it is still not available, but hopefully it is coming soon!

Also, icheckmovies is the only one I use. I took me forever when I joined to go thru all the movies and check the ones I had seen, but since then I love using it just so I know what I've seen and what not. That is really the only feature I am looking for. Would like to use it to catalogue my collection, but just not sure whether it's worth getting the premium and having to pay. I suppose if I did that I would look into utilizing the additional features that come with that as well.

Criticker by a mile.  Do I want a see a list of Albanian musicals from 1953 to 1955, sorted by popularity?  No problem.

This is why I don't like criticker.

I don't get it... because it has useful features?

Because it has features I'll never use. I want just what I will actually use, nothing more.
