Here's what I'm looking at:

American Mary
Against The Dark
The Awakening
Carrie (both the 70s and new one, probably not in that order)
The ABCs of Death
Doomsday Book
Don't Look Now
American Horror Story (season 2, if it comes to Netflix Instant...or maybe I'll push through the second half of 1)
Jekyll (BBC)
V/H/S 2
World War Z
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (50s)
Repulsion
Trouble Every Day
Epidemic
Suicide Club

I decided to start things off early. One of the best things about horror movies is that they are usually available for streaming.

Scream
Such a great Halloween night movie. It's purposefully camp and completely formulaic, but there is enough scare here to hold its weight. I love how it pokes fun at the genre without disrespecting it. It's not the strongest horror movie out there, and the horror movie cliche joke grew a bit tired, but its still good old fashioned slasher fun with a twist.

Any chance you might attempt Scream 2? I think it has more than enough effective scenes of its own.

I considered American Mary. Fan of Katharine Isabelle. But despite the occasional good I hear, anything I see from it looks horrible.
Like the idea of double featuring Carries.
The ABCs of Death prediction: "Made me wish the alphabet had less letters."
Jekyll is a great idea.
Suicide Club has interesting ideas. I own it, but beware the very low budget.
Is Against the Dark the one with Steven Seagal vs. Zombies?

I liked American Mary, but not as much as the Soska Sisters' previous film, Dead Hooker in a Trunk.

Yeah, lets add that one. It's streaming as well!

I probably won't participate this year.  :-\

That being said, I will probably watch and review at least a couple of horror movies in October.

I am shooting for 50 films this month.  Mostly new, but there will certainly be some re-watches.  I will also be attending a 24-hour horror marathon the last weekend of October, no idea what I will see there but it should be a great time.  I'm not going to bother to make a list because I usually watch on a whim.

No, it is the one with Skye Bennett that just happens to have Seagal and vampires.
