What's your Myers-Briggs Personality type?
« on: October 04, 2013, 12:24:32 PM »
We've talked around this here, I think, but we've never had just a full on topic. So who are you? Take this test and be sure to click on the "Self Awareness and Personal Growth" link for a detailed breakdown: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp

If you don't have time to take the test, pick one of each of these pairs.

Extroverted/Introverted
Intuitive/Sensing
Feeling/Thinking
Judging/Perceiving

I <3 Meyers-Briggs!

What a great version of the test. I retook it to get a feel for the questions and I enjoyed seeing the percentages, but there was no question that I'm an INFP through and through. :)

* INFPs never seem to lose their sense of wonder.
* INFPs have the ability to see good in almost anyone or anything. Even for the most unlovable the INFP is wont to have pity.
* Their extreme depth of feeling is often hidden, even from themselves, until circumstances evoke an impassioned response:
* ...introversion of dominant Feeling, receiving its data from extraverted intuition, must be the source of the quixotic nature of these usually gentle beings.
* Sensing is introverted and often invisible. This stealth function in the third position gives INFPs a natural inclination toward absent- mindedness and other-worldliness, however, Feeling's strong people awareness provides a balancing, mitigating effect
*INFPs can even masquerade in their ESTJ business suit, but not without expending considerable energy.

It's scary how accurate it is. :D

Thanks Junior! I had a lot of fun and I can't wait to see other's outcomes.

I got INTJ this time. I think the last time I took it, for work, I got ISTJ. Historically I've always been an I, mostly been an N. I used to be a P but the last 10 years went solidly and consistently J (though in this case it was my closest one). The T/F one seems to be the most elusive.

Introvert(33%)  Sensing(25%)  Feeling(12%)  Judging(56%)

"Do you trust the answers you're choosing on this test?" should be a question. ;)

Introverted (67%) INtuitive (11%) Feeling (62%) Judging (33%).

I've got crappy presidents, but the rest of it is pretty right on.

"INFJs are champions of the oppressed and downtrodden" Sunshine!

"Usually self-expression comes more easily to INFJs on paper, as they tend to have strong writing skills. Since in addition they often possess a strong personal charisma, INFJs are generally well-suited to the "inspirational" professions such as teaching (especially in higher education)" On top of it!

"hey are, in fact, sometimes mistaken for extroverts because they appear so outgoing and are so genuinely interested in people -- a product of the Feeling function they most readily show to the world. On the contrary, INFJs are true introverts, who can only be emotionally intimate and fulfilled with a chosen few from among their long-term friends, family, or obvious "soul mates.""

That's so you Junior! Perfect.

At least you have presidents. There have been and will be no INFP presidents! It would be a fate worse than death.

Melvil the Nurturer! When I read this about ISFJ's, I thought about you working tirelessly on your garage.

The ISFJ learns a task best by being shown its practical application. Once the task is learned, and its practical importance is understood, the ISFJ will faithfully and tirelessly carry through the task to completion. The ISFJ is extremely dependable.

Bondo, that's interesting about moving from P to J. It's worked that way for me too up to a point. I wonder if it's because the real world expects people to be scheduling, so it's a learned characteristic.
