I think there's a difference in changing your perspective on something and how you psychologically reach those perspectives. With potentially new input into your "personality" type it is possible to reach a new conclusion or perspective, but you came to that perspective in the same way, unless, as DH says, you have gradually changed over time.

Alright, let's just say for discussion's sake that the technical term of 'personality' cannot be altered. I would still enforce that the MB results can be unreliable, and definitely can be changed on a whim, even if you're being honest when answering the quiz and not intentionally trying to alter the results.

ENFP. Out on my own.

MB results are certainly unreliable, unless you are being administered the test by educated professionals in an exhaustive way (whatever that is) ; and even then, I imagine there is a margin of error. But one must remember, like IQ does not measure intelligence, MG does not measure your personality, it merely places you a scale for 4 variables.

Yeah, this.

INFP
Introvert(50%)  iNtuitive(22%)  Feeling(50%)  Perceiving(9%)
You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (50%)
You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (22%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (50%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (9%)

Yes they can shift and change but it's roughly where I expected to be.

Thanks!
It's a role I am late coming into in my life but it definitely feels right.

It warms my heart to be in your same designation but I think you embody it far better than I.  ;D

awww, I missed this. Thanks for being so great, St. Martin. :) When I can do energy work and massages and teach yoga, I'll feel like I've earned that praise. ;)

In the past year, I've learned that MB is outdated, and it seems it doesn't have strong empirical evidence either. In the field of personality research it has been supplanted by the Big 5 framework, the 5 major personality traits being Extroversion, Openness, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness and Neuroticism. There's a lot of room in the forum for diversity, but it seems fair to assume everyone here is high in Openness. I would also bet (not bothering to look up everyone's MB results) that most people here are introverts. And I have some thoughts on how some people score in Agreeableness.

Slightly different terminology in this test. "Emotional stability" = neuroticism. "Intellect/Imagination" = openness.
