Presumably I will get my act together in 2019 and be able to not only watch films again but also process Filmspot ballots. Looks like Oscar nominations will be announced on Tuesday, January 22; and winners announced on Sunday, February 24. Traditionally (somewhat) that means Filmspot nominations ballots will be due Sunday, January 27; and final ballots due Sunday, March 3. That sound okay?

Works for me. I'll work to keep the FYC spreadsheet as up to date as possible throughout.

Sounds good! I'm actually pretty on top of current films this year.

Planting a seed.

Since this will be the first Decade where we will have 10 years of Winners, can we please do a Filmspots for the 2010s, where the winners of each year become the 10 nominees? We could also do an initial ballot to bring the 10 down to a more reasonable 5 and then vote on those nominees.

Given time can cause people to reconsider there choice (also people will have move chances to see other films from the era), should the initial set be move expanded. Either to any film from the era or to any film that reached the nomination list. This way those of us who take longer to get around to movies will have more input this time (on the basis that many of us will not have seen all the nominees at the appropriate time to vote in the earlier Filmspots).
