Gone through your first post Col. and am very impressed with the lyrics and sounds. So much to study here, so much catharsis. Rookie and World So Cold are the ones I spent the most time with, but then you've got Artist In The Ambulance there on the tail end and it's premise is unique and will stay with me the longest. I'll be back around for the next post. Great idea for a thread!

Thank you for listening, yes those are really cool songs, the things I listen to tend to be very weird.  Hope you like the other stuff as well.

Listened to the next post and am always impressed with a Cake song. Love that rendition of Malaguena salerosa and the tempo changes in L'Via L'Viaquez. Challenging and original music all the way around.

Martin, I remember Foetus, Happy Flowers and Throbbing Gristle!  (impossible to forget actually :D )

I haven't listened to any of this stuff in like 10 years. Good times.

I went through your next two installments and found great stuff. I think I liked the sound of Gunman's chorus the most:

It don't matter, don't try to explain,
You're just another dog to be trained,
Choke chained.
You're gonna end up under tooth and nail.
If you catch a tiger by the tail,
Don't fail.

The surprise opening and later whispering in Cut Your Ribbon are noteworthy and I liked that I sort of knew Careless Whisper and that Seether turned it upside down. My two favorite songs are Holding on For Life and Blind Pilots (that video completely freaks me out though. :) )

Thank you for listening Sandy, yeah the Sparta song is great and the album is fun too, I wish they had stayed like that as they progressed, but sadly their debut was the only one I liked.  I enjoy playing Careless Whisper on the jukebox.  Again thanks for listening.
