Colonel, Enjoying your string music at the moment (Tool track)

Oldkid, I had not heard that track, but I had heard a different one of theirs. Highway to Hell with Steve Vai

Colonel, if you like string music and strange music check out Dirty Three:

With Nick Cave doing Sea Above, Sky Below

OldKid that was awesome!  Shredding cellos I love that, they were destroying their bows AC/DC would be proud!  That's tough stuff right there, loved it!

The Einsturzende was alright a little to industrial/techno for me, but I like a few the changes, very Tool-ish.

Love the 2nd 2 Cellos tune a lot, especially with Steve Vai!  The work he and Ry Cooder did on the film CROSSROADS is one of the main reasons that movie is in my top 100.

Never heard of the Dirty 3, I love stuff like this.  The first song is perfect for days like yesterday, music to get lost to.  Love Nick Cave and he's excellent in this.  Right at the 5 min mark it really gets tough and closes with a flourish.

The 2nd tune is pretty cool, started off with this Russian vibe and then closed with like a latin flavor, interesting.  I like the Nick Cave one a little more, but this one is cool.

Horse is perfectly named for this jam, it's got that riding feel to it.  One of those tunes I'd like to give a spin while I'm driving a long distance, that feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, trying to get somewhere but not that fast.

Thanks for these songs guys, really cool bands all around.

Really like Guernica, lively and light, even with its harder edges.
Thrice was ok, but not as good as Guernica.
Queens was on par with Thrice.

So glad to have heard the Guernica track.

Brand New is an awesome band! Their 3rd record: "The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me" is one of my favorites of all time.
