Got a chance to go through the album!
First, I have to say that Jonny Hawkins has pipes! I don't know how he keeps his voice, with all he puts it through. Oh! He just went into falsetto in
God Went North at "I'll hold you 'til you're free." wow. Oh, and the ending.

Not surprisingly, these are my favorite 3:
This Is The Time (Ballast) - I find this song to be so hopeful, but it takes some excruciating turns to get there.
Here's To The Heartache - It's a companion song to
Bless The Broken Road. I like the harmony on "Here's to the heartache." It's a powerful message of endurance, "Fall to my knees and you will see, with time comes grace."
I'll Be Okay - All the lyrics are terrific, but this line is the best advice ever! "I can forgive and be forgiven, by learning to heal with a heart wide open."
It looks like all three are ultimately about hope!
I'm going back and forth between
Sex & Lies and
Take A Bullet, because I'm having a hard time figuring out which one has more rage. It's a toss up.

"Well let's go and find the edge."

Yes, this album is exploratory!
Amazing album, Col.! Thanks!
