This style of music is nearly uncharted territory, and very rewarding. :)

Hawkins sings a little like Claudio from C&C (Afterman was a fun album!).

You're right! They are similar! No wonder I liked this album so much.

Blanck Mass - one half of the F*ck Buttons:

Nisennenmondai - if their drummer battled a drum machine. The machine would lose.

A Place to Bury Strangers - I wrote a feature script based on this song:

Amen Dunes - taking things down a few notches:

Blanck Mass- Really cool trance sounding jam, I liked the kazoo-lyrics, my kind of weird lol.

Nisennenmondai- The intro reminds me of Tool's Third Eye, just a little bit.  The drummer is sick!  The guitar player sounds like she's playing the Nyan cat melody.  Drummer really goes off at the end of the 6 min mark, very cool stuff.

A Place to Bury Strangers- Like a grindcore Pixies or Talking Heads or something.  I'm very curious as to the script, has to be better then JOHN WICK right?  Someone kills a guys dog and he becomes the lead singer of Depeche Mode.

Amen Dunes- My favorite song of the bunch, haunting and dark, but strangely uplifting.  This is probably more Frank Black then the last one.

Thanks for the tunes Phil, very cool, always love hearin new things.

Basically if John Wick was a one-breasted lesbian motorcycle assassin.

Really good, I particularly like the rolling sound they have (strong note, very brief pause then several notes in quick succession).

The album is pretty solid too Davey, think you would dig it.  Sweetpea is a cool, sad tune.
