I think Zach would disagree and then describe the EZLN agenda to you.

A real early 90s sound, it just takes me back to pub music from those days. Thanks.

2 Reasons for putting this under 'weird'
1. The 2nd lyric is terrible to the point where you have to ignore it to enjoy the song at all
2. There seems to be no sure way to end the song so the band layers in a mash-up of styles

This next one is weird because you might recognize a part of it from a great movie trailer campaign back in 2007, but few people have heard the full song

Dude awesome!  Love both these tunes, I like the lyrics from Guster!  Going to have to explore these both, will find these albums and explore, thanks for posting these!

Guster- The soothing toughness of the guitar is awesome, fast while being comforting and sort of frightening.  This is the weirdness I live for, especially the fast acoustic riffs.  The ending is kind of the way The Mars Volta ends/combines songs, those guys are interesting because they would say their albums were meant to be listened to/read like a film.  Think they got their name from a Fellini film, I'm not sure if I'm remembering that correctly.  Anyway, yeah this is going into my personal playlist.

The Servant- He sounds a little like Thom York and the song is sort of Radiohead-ish, but the guitar parts are that alternative glory I really love.  Yeah really dig this tune.

Great. Along similar lines, how well do you know V.A.S.T.? (Stands for Video Audio Sensory Theater)
Here is their biggest hit, the song most people know them from.

However, their first two releases have a number of good tracks worth seeking out. I recommend starting with...
"I'm Dying"
"Here"
"The Last One Alive"
"Pretty When You Cry"
"Land of Shame"
"Song Without a Name"
