Haven't finished the season, but I really like this show. The leads are great. I describe it as Girls meets Workaholics.

That final scene was so perfect and lovely, I could hardly hold back my tears.

Can there be sweet raunch?  If so, this is it.

What a great first season. This show just makes me so happy. Love these girls and their comedy. It is definitely "sweet raunch," which sounds like something Madrigal would whip up in their lab: Swraunch.

The scene watching the guys play basketball... just laugh out loud funny.

I feel like Girls has to make some kind of feminist statement in every episode. That's what people expect from the show and it continues to do so. Broad City, as one critic called it, is "sneak-attack feminism". There's no soapbox nor does it tackle the dilemmas of the female experience per se on a daily basis per se, but it does offer two unique perspectives. No one is going to write an essay on the feminism of Broad City because it doesn't present itself to those ideas, however, it doesn't close itself off completely either. During the first season of Girls, there was a post-interview with Lena about what happened on the show and where she's going with it for that episode. While I appreciate that focus that Lena has for her show, I find Broad City to be just more fun and ultimately more informative. The big problem with the show is that they live in lavish apartments with terrible jobs which I hope they will elaborate on more in future episodes.

Last nights episode has to be one of the funniest 30 minutes of tv this decade.

Had heard enough about this that I was wanting to watch it but hadn't realized S1 is on Prime. Suddenly it became a priority. Enjoyed the first episode. Imagine the hesitations are largely just in getting accustomed to the show's manners and language.

I feel like the definition of "big, lavish apartment" is very different in New York. I see big, but not lavish.

I agree. But I can't think of an episode I haven't loved. Easily my favorite comedy on TV.
